Sensory Symptoms Suck

Alliteratively speaking! Major symptoms like optic neuritis, muscle weakness, cognitive decline are concerning, but on the day-to-day it can be the sensory issues that are most annoying! Things like numbness, fuzzy sensations, muscle cramping (Spasticity), or what I call "buzzing" of the skin are sometimes wores. They ebb and flow and are a constant tap on the shoulder reminder of the disease. The MS Society just published an article to better understand this and to offer some treatment options!

Clinical Trial: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia

I have participated in a number of studies in the past and I find it so rewarding to give back to the community in this way! Here are the key details:

  • Learn if cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia will improve sleep quality, fatigue, and quality of life.

Yale researcher discovers mechanism that triggers loss of immune regulation!

A Yale-led study has identified that an increase in the protein PRDM1-S disrupts regulatory T cells, contributing to autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis. This discovery reveals a new target for universal treatment and highlights the role of genetic and environmental factors, including high salt intake, in immune regulation.
